Ultra Hot, Scoville Scale: 1,200,000 to 2,000,000, Days to Maturity: 100 to 120 days In 2012, the Chile Pepper Institute located on the New Mexico State University campus rated the Moruga pepper at 2 million on the Scoville Heat Unit Scale. The plant bears wrinkled fruit that begin green and ripen to red. The peppers are extremely hot. The pepper originated in the Caribbean. Use extreme caution when handling and eating. Plants are grown in 2.5” pots. All vegetable and herb plants are grown using organic methods. All products will be available, while supplies last, beginning opening day (4th Tuesday of April) at Rooted For Good Kirkland (formerly Walnut Grove Vocational Farm) located at 33600 Pearl St. Kirkland, IL 60146.
